Animals in slaughterhouses are mistreated. Simple as that. They could be humanely killed but billions of animals die per year, unethicaly murdered. Pigs' ears are cut off, tails hacked away at, and teeth cut out with wire pullers. Chickens' sensitive beaks are cut off with burning hot blades, cows are put, from birth, into dairy lines or killed for meat and veal, and when the dairy cows run out of milk, they are ground up into hamburgers.
